Hellier Yacht Sales Celebrates 40th Anniversary
Hellier Yacht Sales, Inc. is pleased to announce that the company founded on October 18, 1968 by John R. (Bob) Hellier celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Ownership was transferred to Wayne L. Burdick on June 16, 1977 and Vincent J. Petrella became part owner back in 1997 before retiring in July of 2007. Hellier Yacht Sales, Inc. has remained a small intimate business throughout the years with six or seven employees. Hellier was conceived and sustained upon quality people, products and business relationships.
Although things have changed a lot in 40 years, Hellier has always stayed a step ahead. Hellier was the first sailboat dealership in the country to be "Certified" under the new NMMA/MRAA Certified Dealership program and is also a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB) endorsed brokerage house.
As one of the marine industries' leaders and most trusted dealers, Hellier tradition has meant professionalism in the selling and outfitting of fine sailing yachts, and Hellier has represented some of the most respected names in the business: Caliber, Freedom, Pearson, Seaward, Tartan and currently Catalina, Jeanneau and Island Packet Yachts.
Hellier Yacht Sales, Inc. is still thriving and growing after 40 years due to hard work and lots of dedication by everyone involved - Verne Ray, Service Manager, is celebrating 25 years with the company, Office Manager Cathy Rehbach has 14 years of service and Yacht Broker Teak Bancroft is in his 9th year. Rounding out the experienced Yacht Broker team are Bill Conroy and John Zomermaand who jointly expressed, "Most importantly, Hellier employees really care about the customer!"
