Rick Dieterich Appointed General Manager

New London, Connecticut - Hellier Yacht Sales, Inc. (HYS) President, Vin Petrella has named Rick Dieterich General Manager of HYS effective September 1, 2006. Dieterich, who has been with the company for two years, came to the marine industry from a successful career as a submariner in the Navy and as an executive in the automotive industry.
"Rick's appointment will be very beneficial to our clients by bringing a fresh, creative and energetic new environment to Hellier Yacht Sales," said Vin Petrella. "The new Platinum Commissioning and Deliver Program recently instituted by Rick, is just one example of his commitment to improving our clients' experience", continued Petrella.
Dieterich's passion for sailing and his success as a broker and sales manager led to this promotion. Petrella will continue as President of HYS.
HYS represents Catalina, Jeanneau and Island Packet sailing yachts, Bigfish daysailers and Dyer dinghies and has been in business for over 39 years. Located on the Thames River, HYS offers easy access to Long Island Sound, 17 slips for boat commissioning and delivery, a full service shipyard and on-site ASA sailing school.
