Our Quality New Boat Lines

We are pleased to be able to represent Catalina, Jeanneau and Island Packet Yachts as well as Bigfish Daysailers and Dyer Dinghies. Use the links below to learn more about each manufacturer.

Catalina

When Frank Butler founded Catalina Yachts in 1970, his goal was not to become the largest sailboat builder in the United States. Frank's goal was, and still is to build good boats that are a good value for their customers. Accomplishing this requires planning, efficient manufacturing (a part of the process Frank particularly enjoys) and well-designed boats. He believes Catalinas do well in a very competitive market, because they are the result of listening carefully to customers and dealers.

When Catalina designs a new boat, they don't try to reinvent the wheel each time. They incorporate proven features with new ideas and a lot of boatowners' suggestions. This gives the line continuity, helps to avoid overly trendy styling, and insures good resale value for Catalina owners. That's one reason Catalina enjoys the largest percentage of repeat customers in the industry.

Island Packet

Island Packet knows the definition of "performance" in the cruising context goes well beyond boat speed and must include safe, simple, predictable, and sea-kindly handling as well. That's why every model is designed, engineered, and built to meet these exacting requirements.  Key features such as a powerful yet versatile and easily managed cutter rig and an integral, one piece Full Foil Keel® with a protected propeller and rudder make Island Packets unmatched for their combination of sea keeping, stability, comfort, strength, and speed.

Jeanneau

For the past 50 years Jeanneau's philosophy has been to find the balance between technology and tradition. Innovations such as computer aided design, automated varnish applicators and table saws enable Jeanneau to produce better, more reliable boats. Before a Jeanneau ever makes it from the design department, much thought has gone into creating the perfect combination of comfort, safety and performance. In short, every Jeanneau is designed to sail and sail well.

Just for Fun!

In addition to our "Big Boat" lines, Hellier also carries Island Packet BigFish daysailers and the line of Dyer Dinghies. We keep models from both manufacturers in stock and they are a perfect way to accessorize your yacht and have a little extra fun at your favorite anchorage.

BigFish

The new BigFish is perfect for family outings, long summer days on the water, and lots of fun, pure and simple.

Designed with cockpit room for two adults, equipped with a simple lateen rig for getting on the water quickly, and built with the highest quality standards, the BigFish will delight beginners and experts alike with fast sailing and easy handling. While the BigFish may not be the largest boat you'll ever own, it's likely to be your favorite!

Dyer Dinghies

The Anchorage, Inc. has been building fine boats since 1930, when Bill Dyer founded the company. One of the first boats to be built was the lapstrake planked 10' Dyer Dink, followed in the early 1940's by a plywood version of the 9' Dyer Dhow.

The first fiberglass version of the Dhow was built in 1949, making it the oldest, continuously-built fiberglass boat. Dyer also builds the 16' Glamour Girl, the Dyer 29 and Dyer 40 classic motorboats. Take a look through their product line and you will see that the Dyer tradition of craftsmanship and quality continues today.
